Are You Certifiable? - New Subspecialty Certification for Meeting Professionals

If you’ve come to one of the previous Pharma Forums, you’ve likely heard about the International Medical Meeting Professionals Association, which has been working since it formed in 2009 to develop a certificate program specifically for those who plan meetings for healthcare providers. Well the good folks at IMMPA kicked their great idea to the Convention Industry Council, which administers the Certified Meeting Professional designation.

And guess what? CIC mulled it over for a bit, then said, “Let’s do it!” On Sept. 12, CIC announced that it was giving the green light to developing a healthcare subspecialty to the CMP program. They’re starting to develop it over the next couple of months, and, with the help of IMMPA members and others who toil in the healthcare meetings trenches, they hope to be able to launch the new certification by the summer of 2013.

Here are a few more details—we’ll keep you updated as we hear about the program rollout, and of course, you’ll find out much more at Pharma Forum 2014 in Orlando this March, when President of Meeting IQ and Founder of IMMPA, Pat Schaumann, and CEO of the Convention Industry Council, Karen Kotowski, will moderate a workshop on how you can become a certified medical meeting professional.

This will greatly lessen the probabilities that a browser will just click your ad out of targeted traffic. If you place a dental ad in a lifestyle index, individuals will seldom click on it with the intention of buying as it is really not what they are searching for in the first place when they searched for targeted website traffic links. Although there is still an extremely small likelihood that they will buy, you might find that the majority of the clicks that you get will be from random browsers that are simply curious on why there is a dental best ad network inside a lifestyle directory.
